BDO CSR Awards 2010: Celebrating Great Work. Together.
I am indeed very proud to announce that our company will launch the first edition of BDO CSR Awards this year. This award aims at giving recognition to those companies which have been actively engaged in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives linked to education and sport, environment, health or socio-economic development. The BDO CSR Awards will be a first-of-its-kind in Mauritius and in the BDO network around the world. We wish through this award, to bring our contribution to laudable CSR initiatives. As financial experts, we can help local companies to benefit from their social investment by promoting their contribution to CSR activities.
This award will hence be an opportunity to discover those companies that have best practices in managing their funds for social initiatives and also to identify those companies that boast a unique approach in their corporate responsibility policy.
In this context, we have had a press conference to introduce the BDO CSR Awards to the Mauritian enterprises today, the 17th June 2010. Yuttam Joysuree, project manager of the BDO CSR Award and myself have hosted this press event.
We shall run an advertisement campaign in the newspapers and on radios to encourage companies to participate in this competition. The award ceremony is scheduled in December 2010.
I would like to thank all those colleagues who are devoting their time for the setting up of this event. A special word of thanks goes to Afsar who proposed the concept and provided valuable insights to the team.
The success of this initiative will depend on each and everyone to promote with our clients and other companies the advantages of participating to this event. As usual, I rely on your support to make this whole campaign, something we and many companies shall remember in our quest to celebrate those doing great work!
