BDO Israel keeps values alive by giving back to its community through various activities contributing our time and money to youth with disabilities, families who suffer from financial hardships, social improvements, and many more. Every year we contribute a great deal of money to:
- scholarship money to Israel's most prestigious and well known universities: Tel Aviv University, Haifa University, and Hebrew University;
- Elwyn and Akim, non-profit organisations helping children with disabilities;
- the Israeli Cancer Association (ICA);
- other Israeli non-profit organisations and associations of the arts like the Philharmonic and art museums all over Israel.
Taking our services one step further, we spend about 5,000 working hours of pro-bono work to non-profit organisations and associations of the arts. In the past, we also organized a ‘Fun Day’ for children and families who suffered hardships during the 2008 Gaza Operation and the 2006 Second Lebanon War, taking citizens out of occupied areas to Israeli theme parks, restaurants, and museums. During these times of war we donated hundreds of care packages to be distributed to soldiers fighting in the field, and partnered with prominent Israeli publication The Marker to distribute food and home goods to the needy during high holidays.
BDO employees are proud to be a part of such wonderful volunteer initiatives and continue to do so year in and year out.
