Effective 1 January 2008, BDO ScanRevision acquires Kommunernes Revision A/S from Kommunernes Landsforening, KL (Local Government Denmark). The company has more than 200 employees and a revenue of DKK 180 m in 2007.
The acquisition is a natural result of BDO ScanRevision’s strategic goal to be a major player in the Danish market for the audit and consultancy of local and public authorities.
Henrik Brünings, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BDO ScanRevision, says: ”The acquisition makes us the biggest player in the area of audit and consultancy of local and public authorities, and new and important competencies will be added to both BDO ScanRevision and Kommunernes Revision. BDO ScanRevision will get the highest competencies within public audit and consultancy in the market.
The two companies have a total of nearly 900 employees and revenue of DKK 703 m in the most recent financial year, making them one of the leading players in the market for audit and consulting services in Denmark.
Kommunernes Revision will continue as an independent company under the name ”BDO Kommunernes Revision”. The company will continue to have its focus on the audit of local authorities, consultancy, administrative services and training course activities, where its market share today is 60%. |
