BDO in China receives coveted H-share licence

December 2010

As reported in the 16 December issue of the Accountant (please click on pdf attached below), the Chinese Ministry of Finance (MoF) has chosen 12 mainland accounting firms, including BDO, to receive a coveted H-share license after a successful a pilot programme.
Jeremy Newman, CEO of BDO, says “This is a very significant achievement and a tribute to the hard work and efforts of our firms in Shanghai and Beijing, and demonstrates the leadership these firms show to BDO China as a whole.

“This development obviates the need for companies listed in both mainland China and Hong Kong to prepare two separate sets of accounts, for which they pay twice. It is an honour for the entire international BDO network, and a positive move for our firms in China”.

The BDO firms selected to be awarded the H-share licence are BDO Shu Lun Pan, BDO China Li Xin Da Hua.
