BDO has appointed Stephen Darley to the position of BDO CEO for the Asia Pacific region, effective 1 February 2013. This is a newly created position and is part of a significant drive by BDO to lead, support, implement and drive strategic initiatives in the Asia Pacific region at international level.
Stephen Darley is an Australian national who has resided and worked in 8 countries across the region and brings with him experience from both the mid-tier and our larger competitors, as well as a number of years at Standard Chartered Bank (HK). He acted until very recently as Asia Pacific Regional Director with PKF International Limited and has proven initiative and leadership in driving and aligning stakeholders to global and regional strategies.
As CEO Asia Pacific, he will be responsible for the operational oversight of the entire region, including market analysis, practice management and the development of our member firms, as well as business development initiatives.
Based in Hong Kong, he will also assume the role of chairman of BDO’s Asia Pacific Board.
